Our centre is La Tomada, Centro Cultural located in the heart of Chacarita currently under development and it´s going to be coordinated by some of our stuff members. This is its story.

FOOTPRINTS OF THE PAST
We first stepped in the 11th of july of 2019, after signing the papers with the woman who inherit the house and the family that was occupying it.
There was a lot to do.

A NEW IDENTITY
Step by step, with some friend and neighbour´s help, we started building it.
We called it La Tomada.

WHAT WE LIVED
Two years later, during 2021, La Tomada had a brief period of intense activity. There were workshops, concerts, narrations, dancing seminars, photo shoots and filming. It was also a composting and a social-environment education centre.
It was, mostly, a space for encounter.

ITS PRESENT
The remodeling work is starting.
We have the idea of taking advantage of this stage to continue the creation of a community that is why now we offer days of wood shop, smithy shop, ceramic workshop and everything we can do until the house is done.
